ETSU GoldMail
E-mail is the primary method of communication at ETSU. Students should check their e-mail at least once a day.

First-time Students

If you are a first-time student, you'll need to activate your account. You do this by going to the account activation page at http://www.etsu.edu/activate/. You'll be asked for some information so that the system can look up your account and what you would like your password to be. The password must conform to certain complexity requirements. You can view those requirements here. There will also be a link to the requirements on the activation page.

Once you have successfully entered a password and the system finds your account, you'll be given your username and e-mail address. When you see this, wait 15 minutes and you should be able to log into your GoldMail account.

It might take a few days after registering for classes before your account is created.

Accessing GoldMail

You can access GoldMail by going to http://goldmail.etsu.edu/. You can also click on the GoldMail Login link over in the left-hand column. If you're familiar with Google's Gmail service, you won't be able to go to Gmail's login screen and access your GoldMail account. The services are kept separate.

Resetting your password

If you happen to forget your password, you can use the account activation page to reset it. Remember to wait 15 minutes after you see your username and e-mail address before trying to access your account with the new password.
